The Township at Gateway Gardens is our special Memory Care program. This program is designed specifically for those suffering from Alzheimer's or Dementia. We provide a secure, comfortable and homelike atmosphere, that is filled with familiar sights, sounds, and surroundings that help stimulate the brain. Our specially trained staff in the Township uses a compassionate approach consisting of understanding and love to ensure an atmosphere of dignity and independence for each resident.
In the Township, we maintain a higher care staff-to-resident ratio in order to attend to the individual needs of each resident. We encourage daily achievements that help create a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Residents want to feel valued, and to be able to contribute. We help them to discover what that contribution can be with their abilities.
Gateway Gardens offers all-inclusive, highly personalized care for each of its residents. Individual needs are attended to by our experienced care staff on a 24 hour per day schedule. We strive to create an atmosphere of dignity and independence along with purpose and activity.
It is not only the residents that matter at Gateway Gardens, it is also their families. We partner with families to ensure the best care for their loved ones, and to provide them with peace of mind by knowing that their loved ones are safe and secure.
Short Term Stays and Senior Day Program
Everyone needs a break, and Gateway Gardens is pleased to offer our community Short Term Stays, and a Senior Day Program, also referred to as Respite Care. Respite care is an important part of the overall support that families may need to keep their senior family member at home. This allows the home caregiver to take a break from the daily challenges of caring for their loved one with special needs.
Our Senior Day Program offers a place where the person with Alzheimer's or dementia can be with others in a safe environment. Planned activities, such as music and art programs, and meals are provided.
The Short Term Stay program provides an option for overnight accommodations for a few days or a few weeks, allowing caregivers to take an extended break or vacation while the person with dementia stays in a supervised, safe environment.
Our Short Term Stay program is also available for those needing assisted living, which allows for seniors to stay a few days or a few weeks, and is perfect for the senior that may be well enough to leave the hospital or physical therapy, but perhaps not quite well enough to take care of themselves at home, usually following an illness or an operation. Meals are provided, as well as medication management, 24 hour care staff, housekeeping, and laundry services.
